Steve Jones, CPC

President

Steve Jones, President of The People Bank has over 28 years of leadership experience in the recruitment and staffing industry. He has served six times as President of ACSESS (Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services) and currently serves as National Chairman of Industry Government Relations. ACSESS is the single national voice and governing body for staffing providers, with a focus on Ethics & Standards, Government Relations & Legislation, Professional Certification, Education & Safety.

Steve is a past recipient of the recruitment industry’s highest honour, The Bill Coke Award, “presented in recognition of gracious, selfless and tireless contributions to the employment and staffing services industry” and is a past recipient of several ACSESS Leadership Awards, which recognize his exceptional volunteerism and contributions over the years. He is a Signatory of the Conference Board of Canada’s Senior Executive Health and Safety Leadership Charter and a sought after speaker and trainer on industry issues such as modules offered toward the Certified Personnel Consultant designation.

He has also served in the past as an advisory board member for CORCAN Correctional Services Canada, Past President of Ontario Track 3 Association for disabled skiers and has been previously recognized by the Attorney General of Canada as Volunteer of the Year.

Since 1983, Steve Jones has earned the position as the most recognized name in the Canadian staffing industry all while growing The People Bank to become part of Canada’s largest independently owned staffing organization. Steve is a member of the Design Group Staffing Inc. executive team and resides with his wife Lesley and three daughters in Mississauga, Ontario.

Londa Burke, CPC

Vice President
Londa has over 20 years of experience with The People Bank and provides strong leadership across Eastern Canada. She has extensive experience managing large-volume accounts, focusing on the financial and public sectors. Her client relationship expertise has given customers the confidence of knowing they have a dedicated staffing partner in The People Bank.

Londa is a member of The Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services (ACSESS), and holds the designation Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC). She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business and is also a certified Joint Health and Safety Management Representative.

Sherri Strong, BPR, CPC -Director, Recruitment, Quality, Health & Safety

With over 18 years of experience in the staffing industry, Sherri is the Director of Recruitment, Quality, Health & Safety on a national level.  She is responsible for improving and expanding recruitment processes and outcomes while achieving operational and industry excellence in quality and health and safety.    Sherri chairs the Education Committee for The Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services (ACSESS) and was the 2010 recipient of the staffing industry’s Special Recognition Award from ACSESS.  She is a trainer for the ACSESS Certified Personnel Consultant (CPC) designation program and also serves as a member on the Toronto Regional Immigrant Employment Council (TRIEC) Human Resources Advisory Committee. Sherri’s many areas of expertise include the development and delivery of training material and research and communication consulting. She holds a Bachelor of Public Relations degree and is regularly featured as a guest speaker at a number of community and educational organizations. Sherri is an original East Coaster who now calls Newmarket, Ontario home and is a proud mom of a hockey enthusiast son and cheerleading daughter!


 
Pat Sykes brings over 25 years of customer service knowledge to her role as Team Lead of the Operational Excellence Program. With eight years experience in the staffing industry, Pat is able to bring her expertise in account management to the forefront of this role which is focused on ensuring that applicant and customer procedures are established and achieved. This role encompasses Quality and Health & Safety compliance on a national level servicing internal and external customers. Pat’s commitment to her role and The People Bank is complimented by her active participation with ACSESS (Association of Canadian Search, Employment and Staffing Services) and her passion for surpassing the expectations of her customers.

Cindy has over 25 years of experience in the staffing industry and is the General Manager and Regional Manager for The People Bank and Allen Professional Search, in London and South-western Ontario. A leadership and staff training expert, she has worked in all areas of the personnel industry, recruiting for both temporary and permanent positions in a variety of employment sectors.


Tabetha Lightbody

As the Administrative / Project coordinator for The People Bank, Tabetha has been with the company for over eight years. With a background in hospitality and customer service, she is dedicated and extremely organized, with the ability to handle multiple projects under strict deadlines. Always excited to take on a new challenge, Tabetha is a positive and enthusiastic go-getter whose interests include being with her family, bowling, and skating.

 
Frank Bonta joined The People Bank team as our Proposal Writer & Communications Specialist. With him, he brings a knowledge base of over 15 years of winning business across many industries. Frank has worked in many capacities including business development, marketing, and communications. He leverages that experience with extensive public and private sector RFP knowledge, and leads the group responsible for helping The People Bank win proposal opportunities.

Stacey Evans

Stacey has been with The People Bank for 6 years and is the Accounting Manager for our Toronto branch. With her honesty and commitment to being detail-oriented, she is highly confident of her strong record-keeping and numerical abilities. Stacey has a background in the hotel industry, loves logic puzzles and is working towards a CGA designation.


Desa Milovanovic

With over 9 years of experience with The People Bank, Desa is the Accounts and Payroll Administrator at our Toronto branch. Hard-working and reliable, she prides herself on being detail oriented and a loyal team-player. Desa has a background as a volunteer for World Vision and enjoys swimming and tennis.



Rafeena Mahamad

The Special Projects Administrator at our Toronto branch, Rafeena has been with The People Bank for 12 years. A stickler for detail, she is mainly responsible for collections and generating specialized company and client reports. An honest and dedicated people person, Rafeena takes pride in giving the company’s clients exactly what they need.



Susana Resendes

Susana is the Accounts Receivable manager at our Toronto office and has been with The People Bank for over 3 years. She has a background in Corporate Accommodations and her key strengths lie in leadership and taking initiative.

Em McMaster

Em McMaster is an integral part of our accounting and payroll staff. She has been a loyal member of The People Bank team for over 7 years, with an impressive track record of experience within the staffing industry. Em expertly handles the company’s receivables and diligently manages the financials of various accounts. She is hard-working, efficient and enjoys working as part of a team.
